H-GAC reviews solid waste facility permit and registration applications for conformance with the goals and objectives of the regional solid waste management plan. 

Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. (FCC) has applied to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for a new, non-putrescible, mixed residential recyclables (Type V) transfer station registration for the facility located at 9172 Ley Road in Houston in Harris County. This will be a new facility. Although the registration application is for a transfer station the facility will operate as a materials recovery facility. The transfer station designation is due to the assumption that residue will account for more than 10% of the materials brought in.
