FORT BEND COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FY2018 CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

Background

Local jurisdictions that receive annual allocations of federal community development funds are required to prepare a Consolidated Annual Action Plan. These plans outline how the activities that are proposed will address local objectives and the help meet the needs of low- to moderate-income residents.

 

The County made the plan available for public review and held community meetings. No comments were accepted during the public comment period which ran from June 1 to July 2, 2018. The Plan was approved by Fort Bend County Commissioners Court on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.



Current Situation 

Fort Bend County expects to receive a combined $3,565,417 in federal community development funds in FY2018. This funding will be used to support the following activities:

            Housing                       $1,085,433

The funding is direct entitlement funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program, and Emergency Solutions Grant Program.
