REGIONAL ECONOMIC RECOVERY MANAGER EDA GRANT | | | |
| | | | | | | | Background | The Gulf Coast Economic Development District has been awarded funding from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) for a Regional Disaster Recovery Manager position to aid local governments and economic development organizations in the H-GAC region in their recovery from the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. The grant funding will be used to provide technical assistance on EDA investment opportunities and also assist in identifying potential resilience, mitigation, economic recovery projects, and strategies throughout the region.
The EDA grant amount will be $240,000 and the term will run for three years from April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2021. The Texas Association of Regional Councils will provide matching funds in the amount of $60,000 from the Rebuild Texas Fund.
