H-GAC contracts with accounting firms to conduct fiscal monitoring of all workforce system contractors.  In February 2018 we issued a request for proposals to procure these fiscal monitoring contracts for the next three year period.

H-GAC received two proposals, both from current contractors.  These firms have provided excellent service for us over the past three years, carrying out regular and special financial reviews for 20 contracts every year.

We recommend:

• Contracting with Christine H. Nguyen, CPA and Weaver and Tidwell LLP
• Reissuing the request for proposals later this year to solicit additional applicants
