H-GAC purchased assistive technology from Christal Vision in 2013. This purchase included licenses for forty-five users for JAWS Pro and MAGic. This purchase also included a Software Maintenance Agreement that paid for two future software upgrades. At this time, there are no more software upgrades available under the Software Maintenance Agreement.

Staff researched available assistive software and consulted with our Vocational Rehabilitation partners to ensure the efficacy of the current software. In addition, we identified a need for twenty additional user licenses for the JAWS Pro and MAGic software as some of our current offices expand and we open new career office locations. This software allows a person with a disability interact with a computer such as making type larger and providing voice reading.

We are proposing to purchase twenty additional user licenses for the JAWS Pro and MAGic software, upgrade licenses for current forty-five users and purchase a Software Maintenance Agreement to cover the next two paid software upgrades for all sixty-five user licenses.
