2019 REGIONAL INTEROPERABLE COMMUNICATIONS PLAN UPDATE

Background

This project is to update the Regional Interoperable Communications Plan utilizing contractor support. The purpose of the plan is to provide an operational guide for accomplishing interoperability among agencies within the thirteen county H-GAC region who normally communicate on the same radio channels. It is intended to support regional plans and frameworks, including the Multi-Agency Coordination Center Plan and the Coordination of Multiple Incident Sites Concept of Operations for the H-GAC region.


Current Situation 

The current Regional Interoperable Communications Plan was first drafted in 2010 and its current version (v.3) was last updated in 2014. This project will allow the plan update to be on schedule with its designated review timeline.
