LIGHT IMAGING DETECTION AND RANGING (LIDAR) DATA UPDATE

Background

On July 10, 2017, H-GAC’s Board of Directors approved to participate in a joint effort with US Geological Survey and Texas Water Development Board on the Coastal LiDar for Texas from Orange to Matagorda County and the H-GAC Operating Area project for an amount not to exceed $500,000.


Current Situation 

On October 13, 2017, the Texas Water Development Board and H-GAC staff selected two vendors for the project. Fugro Geospatial for data acquisition and processing and AECOM for third party independent data quality assurance and control consultant services.

Final cost for the project including grant from the USGS’s 3D Elevation Program (3DEP)
