| | | | | | | | Background | On August 25, 2017, the President declared major disaster, Texas Hurricane Harvey DR-4332, for the State of Texas, which authorized FEMA to provide financial assistance and direct services for temporary and/or permanent housing needs to individuals and households unable to meet such expenses. the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has entered into an Agreement with the Texas General Land Office (GLO) that allows individual contracts with Councils of Government to administer these programs. |

| | | | | | | | Current Situation | The GLO is in the process of developing an agreement that allows H-GAC to provide assistance to residents qualified by FEMA within our 13-County Region whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Assistance provided will be in one of the following forms: Multi-Family Lease and Repair, Direct Leasing, Manufactured Housing Units, Recreational Vehicles, and Permanent Housing Repair.
