PUBLIC OUTREACH SERVICES-QUICK CLEARANCE TOWING PROGRAM

Background

The Transportation Policy Council has authorized H-GAC to support a Quick Clearance Towing Program for our region.  This program will provide no-cost removal of stalled vehicles on the freeway. The H-GAC Board approved funding for this activity at its September 2015 meeting.

One component for this program includes a Public Outreach program. This outreach program would utilize various media outlets and approaches to inform the public about the Quick Clearance Towing Program, including the services it provides and does not provide, the rights of patrons assisted by the program, the various partners working with the program (law enforcement/towing services), and how to receive assistance if needed.
