BRAZORIA CDBG ACTION PLAN

Background

Brazoria County has applied for funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and is seeking an inter-governmental review of their 2017 Annual Action Plan. Brazoria County expects to receive a total of $2,306,372 in funding from HUD for PY2017, including $1,788,493 in CDBG funding, $372,940 in HOME funding, and $144,940 in Emergency Solutions Grants.


Current Situation 

Brazoria County intends to expend their HUD funding as noted in the attached table.



Funding Source 

The funding is from three HUD programs: the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and the Emergency Solutions Grants.


Budgeted

Brazoria County expects to receive a total of $2,306,372 in funding from HUD for PY2017.


Action Requested 

Request Brazoria County PY2017 Consolidated Annual Action Plan be found consistent with the goals, objectives and recommendations of Vision for Tomorrow, Our Great Region 2040, 2014-2018 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, the Fair Housing Equity Assessment and with plans, policies and H-GAC review criteria.
