H-GAC is under contract with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Galveston Bay Estuary Program to assess the overall effectiveness of local green infrastructure projects and prepare a ranked list of green infrastructure practices that work best in our climate and soils.  Data from projects from other areas of the state or nation may be used to augment local data.  This ranked list will be presented to local communities and developers to aid them in the selection of practices that are working well in our region and to support their use in the H-GAC service area.  The initial project budget was $45,000.

H-GAC is receiving an additional $15,000 to provide outreach to local communities to present project results. Tasks include providing one-on-one meetings and a workshop. The contract is being amended to add the additional funding amount.

Project duration: November 11, 2021 through February 29, 2024.
