The Corporation for Regional Excellence is a non-profit corporation that supports charitable and educational activities promoting regional cooperation and quality of life improvements in the H-GAC region. It receives contributions and makes grants to H-GAC and other public and private non-profit organizations serving the region. The Corporation also serves as a repository for tax exempt contributions that support local government projects.

The activities of the Corporation for Regional Excellence are governed by a Board of Directors nominated by the Houston-Galveston Area Council. The  following appointments are recommended: 

• Brazoria County Commissioner Stacy Adams
• City of Waller Councilmember Nancy Arnold
• City of Dickinson Councilmember William King, III
• Mayor Joe Garcia, City of Pattison
• Trustee Rissie Owen, Huntsville ISD
• Commissioner Jami Clark, City of Texas City
• Councilmember Sally Branson, City of Friendswood
