WORKFORCE ADDITIONAL FUNDS

Background

H-GAC normally receives additional funds throughout a year to provide expanded service through the Gulf Coast Workforce Board’s Workforce Solutions system.  H-GAC programs additional funds through existing contracts, previously approved by the Workforce Board and H-GAC Board of Directors, to serve more employers and individuals looking for work.

Current Situation

We have received or anticipate receiving a total of $2,658,283 in workforce funds from several sources to increase service in the region.  Staff recommends accepting funds and amending contracts to deliver the additional service.  The chart below describes the source of these funds.
