Houston-Galveston Area Council’s Area Agency on Aging operates two satellite offices, in Fort Bend County and Montgomery County.  H-GAC staff in each of these locations provide direct case management for eligible older Texans in need of services to continue living independent healthy lives.   Both satellite locations are in leased space.  The Fort Bend County office is currently in Richmond and the Montgomery County office is in Conroe.

The lease for the Montgomery County office will expire on April 30, 2017.

Staff recommends renewing the lease for Montgomery County aging services office, located on Loop 336 in Conroe, for a three-year term.  The landlord has proposed a slight increase of $0.46 to $16.16 per square foot.  Our recent market survey of 11 comparable properties in the Conroe area noted an average cost of $16.83 per square foot.

The renewal would extend the lease through April 2020 with an increase of $593 per year in rent.
